Lead Game Product Manager (Monetization), Game Product Management - EA SPORTS™ FC

The Live Product Manager's mission, in close collaboration with the wider Live Content Team, is to help create the most engaging and rewarding live service experience for our players. You will have a mix of strategic skills, creative instinct and analytical ability that can help create relevant plans and content strategies that benefit our players. As a Lead GPM for Monetization, you will coach and grow a team of Product Managers who produce content for the in-game store, battle pass and other monetized features.
A Product Manager will partner directly with Producers, Game Designers, Artists and external partners to further the growth of FC.
Your Responsibilities
Lead a team of Product Managers in their career development, staffing & coaching your team to excellence in our craft using a growth mindset and a continuous improvement attitude.
Lead other Product Managers in strategic planning for your area, ensuring the goals are in synergy with other parts of the product.
Dive into the craft by designing live content, stories and features that drive monetization throughout the product cycle.
Conduct and communicate in-depth analysis of in-game behaviour trends using data insights and strong business acumen to impact top line KPIs.
Create, negotiate and communicate concise and inspiring roadmaps, strategies and execution plans for your product space.
Be passionate about, and represent the voice and needs of our customers and partners within FC.
Determine measurement plans, testing strategies, execute A/B testing campaigns and conduct post mortems.
Work closely with the game team to both create new live service spaces within our game modes, as well as drive best-practice strategies for new live service levers in your existing product space.
Track and develop an expert level understanding of gaming trends and insights from the market.
Create live content stories & plans using a combination of real and imagined football events.
Collaborate with our internal technical partner groups, being a key stakeholder in technologies that impact the game or live service.
Partner with Central teams and craft requirements for all player facing features outside the game team's scope.
Your Qualifications
A passion for games with a player first mentality.
8 years of Product Management or other relevant Game discipline experience required (ideally in Live Services).
Experience managing other Product Managers (at least teams of 2-3), including performance feedback & reviews, coaching and mentorship skills.
A good understanding of the core mechanics of FC and its live features, or willing to develop this understanding in the role through dedication to play and through game mechanics expertise.
Experience leading monetization strategies or initiatives to maximize revenue generation from a game (ideally a live service) while ensuring a positive player experience.
Self-motivated team player that brings excitement and enthusiasm to work each day.
Strong analytical skills and experience with data driven product design and decision making, including drawing conclusions from ambiguous data and leading analytics in behavioural investigations.
Strong communication and writing skills, with experience autonomously preparing and presenting decks to various senior stakeholders.
The ability to adapt to a variety of delivery methodologies in play.
Highly desirable but not essential: A football fan.
Experienced in:
Successful live service console and/or mobile games having delivered and maintained at least one product through the product life cycle.
Identifying gaps and iterations in an existing product and choosing a direction to pursue to capture opportunities.
Designing content, campaigns and features that maximize acquisition, engagement, and monetization throughout the product life cycle, with the ability to feel whether content will resonate due to your domain expertise with the game.
Obtaining insights and developing strategies through analytical metrics driven analysis and design experimentation.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
