We are looking for an experienced Scripter to join our Live Service team in North America.
 

Role
 

As a member of the Live Service team, you will be responsible for the setup and integration of; live service updates, challenges, sales, promotions, new features and site wide meta events across our 70+ games. You will collaborate with the rest of the Live Service team to identify areas of improvement within the Live Service integration pipeline. In this key role, you will report into the Design/Production organization and will have a high level of interaction with team members across all key disciplines.

 

What You Will Do


 
● Utilizing Pogo’s CMS and development tools, you will be responsible for the maintenance and
 
configuration of the following:

 o Recurring content updates across a variety of games and genres
 
o In-game and site wide events
 
o Seasonal prize tracks and challenges
 
o Promotions and sales
 
o MTX (power-ups, boosters, currency) catalog maintenance and integration
● Oversee and domain owner of Pogo’s Live Service scripting and release pipeline.
● Assist in playtests, game feedback and potential improvements.
● Proactive problem solving using the resources, tools and time/scope available.

● Communicate and collaborate with all disciplines; including artists, designers, engineers, and producers. 

● Coordinate multiple work streams in task execution and task management.
● Identify risks and communicate them upwards with mitigations.
● Define and drive best practices for source control and materials management with our partners.
● Define automation and tooling needs to improve the Live Service integration pipeline.
 

What You Bring


● 1-2 years experience with scripting languages like Python, JavaScript, JSON, etc.
● Familiarity with source/version control applications such as perforce and content management systems.
● Ability to learn new tools quickly.
● Experience implementing content in an agile environment for a live service.
● Organized and detail-oriented approach to design, authoring and source control management.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
● Readiness to work with a globally distributed development team.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$75,900 - $105,600 CAD
* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$83,100 - $127,500 USD
* Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs) *$83,100 - $103,100 USD
* Illinois (depending on location e.g. Chicago vs Illinois City) *$79,500 - $103,100 USD
* Minnesota (depending on location e.g. Minneapolis vs Saint Paul) *$79,500 - $103,100 USD
* Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane) *$79,500 - $103,100 USD

Pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.  
For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
