The Licensing Liaison Associate will report to Production and supports the development teams making F1, ensuring all licensed content research is collated. This role also handles brand license clearances, licensing, and marketing approvals with an aim to help our development teams create authentic, and accurate licensed content: cars, tracks, sponsor logos for liveries and hoardings

This is a hybrid remote/in-office role based in our Birmingham, UK studio.

Responsibilities:

  • You will focus on securing permissions and negotiating best contract terms for gratis in-game assets

  • Coordinate Licensing data transfer & licensing marketing approvals, maintaining accuracy

  • Partner with Legal & Business Affairs team to draft agreements/amendments

  • Source & build licensing and research contacts network and share with Team.

  • Work with game team (especially Design and Production) to present feature integration decks to licensors so they have context on how their properties will be used in game

  • Advise game team of main risks to the licensing schedule and possible solutions

  • Raise POs following approved budgets against all relevant projects

  • Report all important project information & meetings to partners

  • Record licensing progress in Content Trackers ensuring it is up to date.

  • Collate details of licensors who wish to work with our Marketing Team.

  • Maintain first class working relationships with external parties that supply data

  • Respond to requests for technical and statistical research information ensuring in all cases the information is delivered within any agreed timescales.

  • Gather, organize and store licensing reference information ensuring that it is constantly maintained and kept up to date.

  • Compile & complete any appropriate reports for each project.

  • Obtain quotations and coordinate freelance work & items to fulfill research requirements.

Qualifications:

  • You will have a record of licensing and research skills gained in a similar role in gaming and entertainment

  • 3+ years experience in a similar role

  • Collaboration skills working across multi discipline teams

  • You will be experienced in project management and working across a variety of multi discipline teams
