We are looking for a Battlefield Live Operations Lead to join the Ripple Effect team. You will report to Game Leadership Team located in our Los Angeles studio. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options within the Vancouver or Los Angeles area to apply.

You will lead the planning and execution of Battlefield’s Live Operations. Through collaboration and communication, you will be the main conduit between development, game operations, product management and other partners accountable to provide the service vision to players.

Accountable to the Battlefield product leadership team, you will deliver a connected and engaging live service. As a leader you will need to balance the business, development and operations to guarantee a high-quality player experience for all Battlefield players.

You will be accountable to guide the aligned plans set out to deliver goals and performance Indicators for the live service, supporting the product management team to translate these into high-level product goals development teams. Working with each experience owner, the live ops lead will help align individual experience/product goals and road maps into a single live roadmap.

What you'll do:

  • Define a clear vision, direction and boundaries for the Battlefield Game Ops Group, and guide teams towards realization of that vision
  • Implement and lead operating principles and process to establish a AAA live service group for Battlefield.
  • Establish a Live Service operating framework for Battlefield that creates improved quality throughout the life of each experience and allows for efficient management of the service.
  • Help build an organization and work environment that uses data, analytics and feedback to help improve Game Operations
  • Partner with Product and technical leadership to create processes, infrastructure and tools that allow for easy evolution and change to the service to meet the changing needs of players post-launch.

The skills you will need:

  • 10+ years of senior level operations and leadership experience. This includes experience managing large teams at scale, with experience operating Live Services at Scale.
  • 5+ years of expertise in the games industry that includes multiple product cycles and some variety in console/PC Live Service.
  • 5+ years of working at a senior lead capacity of live game development organization with financial insight and data driven mindset.
  • 5+ years of influencing and driving collaboration with cross functional teams, including partner and team management, driving overall program execution
  • 3+ years of experience that includes planning and execution of the business strategy for a complete live service operation.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally to engage with partner studios.
  • You are influence-oriented, and excel at collaborating with other leaders and guiding the collective group to the best action, decision, or result.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $151,800 - $208,900 CAD
  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento)
    • $170,500 - $259,300 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
