Location: Lyon - Hybrid - 3 days per week onsite

Reports to: Senior Manager, Controllership, Europe


The Challenge Ahead:

As Manager, Controllership, you will oversee accounting, reporting, statutory compliance, and local tax activities for assigned legal entities. You will be a technical accounting expert, and support finance transformation projects.


Responsibilities:

You will manage primary ledger accounting, US GAAP and IFRS reporting, statutory accounts, and local compliance for one legal entity.

You will also partner with Senior Accountants, Shared Services, and external advisors to support accounting and compliance activities across a portfolio of legal entities.

As a trusted advisor, you will provide practical, risk-based guidance on statutory and tax accounting matters.

You will ensure reporting is accurate, complete, and delivered on time, identify accounting and compliance risks, and improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of processes.

You will also lead transformation programs, including IFRS conversion and other corporate projects, while using automation, Power BI, AI-enabled tools, and data analytics to improve productivity and scalability.


Required Qualifications:

● ACA, CPA, CA, or equivalent accounting qualification.

● Five years or more of progressive experience in audit, accounting, or controllership, including experience within a multinational organization.

● Knowledge of US GAAP, statutory accounting, financial controls, and corporate governance.

● Demonstrated experience resolving complex accounting issues, leading projects, influencing partners.

● Systems knowledge (Oracle preferred) and an interest in using AI-enabled tools to improve finance processes.
