Location: Hybrid three days a week in Vancouver, Edmonton or Montreal.

Duration: Temporary 18 months.

We are looking for an experienced Narrative Designer to join the Skate team. In this multidisciplinary role you will partner with the Art, Design, Audio and Tech teams to bring the game narrative to life.

This role will report into the Narrative Director.

Responsibilities

  • You will champion and iterate on each season's narrative direction, based on feedback from the Lead Narrative Designer and Narrative Director.

  • You will cultivate an understanding of our game world and characters, serving as a primary resource for others on the team.

  • You will own and maintain all UX and other non-voiced strings such as item descriptions, mission objectives, and menu text.

  • You will write narrative dialogue and provide feedback on other narrative dialogue across the team.

  • You will iterate on narrative systems and mechanics by running playtests, evaluating feedback and reviewing data.

Qualifications


  • 3+ years' experience working in a role focused on live service game narrative.

  • Demonstrated ability creating and executing on narrative in a live service environment.

  • Some experience implementing and scripting Narrative in proprietary Game Engines.

  • A passion for storytelling, and knowledge of current live service narrative trends within the games industry.

  • Demonstrated experience working within large, cross-disciplinary teams

  • Proven ability to work collaboratively.

  • Knowledge of skateboarding and skateboarding culture would be an asset.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $89,300 - $123,000 CAD

 In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
