We are looking for a Player Experience Insights, Quality Designer to help guide game development by collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to shape the strategy of Apex Legends™ and player experience. You will report directly to the Head of Apex QV. You will help shape and implement our player experience strategy. This strategy ensures the player experience remains at the heart of every decision and guides the future of Apex Legends™.


Responsibilities:

  • You will align research programs with business and product strategies to ensure strategic player insights guide franchise outcomes.

  • You will collaborate with the Quality Verification (QV) team to integrate User Research and Player Experience strategy and frameworks into QV processes, enhancing internal playtesting operations and strategy for Apex Legends™ plans.

  • You will use insights from playtests to influence creative, product, and live service decisions.

  • You will translate player strategy and insights into relevant, player-first recommendations that guide design, gameplay, and overall experience.

  • You will collaborate with game development teams, product managers, and partners to integrate player insights throughout the development cycle.

  • You will conduct data collection using qualitative or quantitative methods (e.g., surveys, playtests, and player feedback analysis) in collaboration with other research functions.


Qualifications:


  • 4+ years of experience in the gaming industry, with experience leading player/user research or playtesting projects.

  • Experience aligning gaming insights with business strategy, ensuring insights create tangible franchise outcomes.

  • Experience influencing partners with diverse teams and global time zones.

  • Deep experience conducting and applying player insights across multiple platforms (console, PC, mobile).

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Psychology, Market Research, Data Science, HCI) or equivalent research experience in industry.
