The Battlefield Playtest Team are looking for a Technical Product Owner ( also known as Playtest Technical Lead or Playtest Technical Coordinator) who is passionate about mastering complex systems. Our mission is building a better Battlefield through objective analysis, and you will ensure the smooth operation of daily studio playtests to produce insights for the Battlefield team. You will report to the Playtest Director in the Experiential Quality group of Battlefield Quality Verification.
Responsibilities
You will configure game clients, servers, and playtest tools based on criteria from technical and design partners to guarantee a smooth playtest operation
You will ensure shared PCs and consoles are operational
You will troubleshoot technical issues live during playtests
You will ensure critical defects found in playtests are tracked with appropriate logs
You will identify the cause of technical issues affecting playtest success and implement improvements to prevent them from recurring
You will maintain high quality documentation
You will occasionally schedule and host studio playtests
Required Qualifications
At least 2 years of relevant experience in PC and console game development
Experience working with console firmware and SDKs
Experience reading debug logs for troubleshooting
Experience using the command line for a variety of tasks
Knowledge of shooter games
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
