Principal Content Designer - EA SPORTS
Please note: this is an on-site (hybrid) role. Must be able to work 3x per week from either Orlando FL or Victoria, B.C.

As a Principal Designer, you will bring your deep knowledge of content design, and narrative skills to an exciting new title. You will report directly to the Creative Director.
Responsibilities:
Support the game vision as set by the Creative Director
Define content design guidelines and best practices
Lead the narrative of the world, establishing detailed goals for yourself and the team
Own content design through a lens of best-in-class games as a service
Craft engaging social features that encourage group play and socialization
Plan and implement game content and events
Inspire creativity across the design team and your peers
Work with other leadership within Design to ensure your designs support AAA moment-to-moment gameplay
Provide and receive critique in a constructive and efficient manner
Qualifications:
8+ years experience shipping AAA projects as a Lead or Principal Designer with experience delivering deep and rich narrative experiences in action-oriented gameplay
Experience writing detailed design documentation for content and story
Experience using a range of game production content tools such as Unreal Engine, Frostbite, Unity, or proprietary tools
Self-assess risk, time, and scope
Outstanding collaboration skills, driving towards the best possible outcomes
A deep understanding of American Football, both the game and the fandom surrounding the sport
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
