Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Electronic Arts Ventures Group

The future of entertainment is interactive, and our Ventures Group plays an important role in this future by building content, culture, and community that take us Beyond Gaming.

We empower audiences to Play, Create, Watch, and Connect across our franchises and experiences, including The Sims, Madden NFL, EA SPORTS FC, Apex Legends, and Battlefield.

Beyond our existing franchises, Ventures focuses on incubating bold new ideas - we explore emerging technologies, develop new platforms, and create entirely new forms of interactive entertainment.  You will report to the GM of Ventures.

What We're Building

We're launching a new wave of incubation within EA - small, fast-moving teams exploring 0 → 1 product opportunities.

As a Product Founder, you'll be the driving force behind one of these new ventures. You'll partner with a Technical Architect to rapidly build, test, and launch a new sports product from the ground up.

The Product Founder will lead the creation of a new interactive software product from concept through scale. Working with a Technical Architect (Engineering Founder), you will rapidly validate ideas. You will build product experiences using AI-assisted development, launch to market, and iterate toward product-market fit. If successful, they will scale it into something enduring.

This role is not a traditional Product Manager. It requires a founder mindset with equal strength across product strategy, business leadership, customer validation, and hands-on product development.

What You'll Do

Build a 0 → 1 Product

  • Partner with a Technical Architect to ideate, prototype, and launch a new sports product from scratch.

  • Move quickly from concept to working product - prioritizing speed, learning, and iteration over perfection.

Own Product Vision & Execution

  • Define the product direction, user experience, and core feature set.

  • Lead hands-on product development - including ownership of the client experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code and similar agents).

  • Make high-quality product decisions with limited data - balancing intuition, user feedback, and experimentation.

Drive Go-To-Market & Early Growth

  • Design and execute the initial go-to-market strategy.

  • Identify early users, test positioning, and iterate toward product–market fit.

  • Establish feedback loops that inform rapid product evolution.

Scale What Works

  • If the product gains traction, transition from prototype to scalable product.

  • Evolve systems, processes, and roadmap to support growth.

  • Continue refining the experience to deepen engagement and retention.

Share Insights Across Ventures

  • Capture and share insights on product decisions, user behavior, and ways of working.

  • Help build a repeatable incubation model within EA Ventures.

Manage Stakeholders

  • Keep Ventures leadership, finance, and key partners informed on progress, risks, and opportunities.

  • Communicate clearly and effectively—bringing stakeholders along on the journey without slowing down execution.

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience building and launching products from 0 → 1. Whether as a founder, early-stage product leader, or builder in a startup environment.

  • Product instincts - you know how to identify what matters most and focus effort

  • Comfort being hands-on with building - experience using modern AI tools to prototype or develop product experiences.

  • Operate with high autonomy and low structure - you create clarity where it doesn't exist.

  • You move quickly, learn fast, and iterate relentlessly.

  • Strong communication skills - you can articulate vision, decisions, and trade-offs to diverse stakeholders.

  • Experience with sports, gaming, or interactive entertainment.

Bonus Points

  • Founder or startup experience (especially taking a product to product–market fit).

  • Experience building consumer-facing products, in sports, social, or entertainment.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted development workflows or agent-based tooling.

  • Experience scaling products post-launch (growth, retention, monetization).

Why Join Us

  • Build something new from scratch - with the backing of EA's resources, reach, and IP.

  • Operate like a founder without starting from zero alone.

  • Shape the future of sports and interactive entertainment through rapid experimentation.

  • Help define how EA incubates the next generation of breakout products.
