Contract Period: 6 months

As the Battlefield Community Engagement Manager you wake up everyday thinking about the Battlefield player experience in Asia. You will report to the Battlefield Franchise Director, Asia Publishing and engage directly with our passionate and diverse Battlefield community. Working on one of the largest multiplayer shooters in the world you have the opportunity to directly contribute to the experience players have with Battlefield in Asia. As the main liaison between Battlefield Studios and our players you will ensure players are heard, have a safe space for discussions about the game and are able to connect with fellow players around the game. This job is a hybrid role based in either our Singapore or Sydney office.

Responsibilities

Community Engagement:

  • Be the public facing spokesperson communicating on behalf of the franchise. Visible and engaging directly with the Battlefield community in Asia across multiple channels ensuring every experience reflects EA's brand and mission.

  • Produce & communicate development content updates including hot fixes, bugs, exploits, bans, content roadmaps, and new modes.

  • Ensure our Battlefield community in Asia is a safe place for players to participate in a digital environment.

  • Develop strategic plans for Asia-focused community activations in collaboration with our multiple teams & manage their execution across multiple social channels

  • Represent the community in strategic planning, and execute campaigns with the community in mind.

Studio Collaboration & Feedback

  • Be a trusted partner of Battlefield Studios serving as the main liaison between studio & players for Asia. Collaborate with studio community leadership, Asia communications, and marketing leadership to align local strategies and projects.

  • Provide quantitative and qualitative feedback into Battlefield Studios on Battlefield in Asia through consumer insight reporting tools, reviews, feedback, and other sources which create meaningful change around the games experience and sentiment.

  • Monitor the latest issues and trends to ensure they are flagged and communicated to Battlefield Studio.

Skills/Attributes

  • Familiarity with the Battlefield game, player motivations and needs.

  • Experience building data-informed community insights.

  • Business to native level fluency in English and Mandarin is necessary

  • High-quality writing skills with global audiences in mind.

  • Experience managing interactions with consumers and conflict management.

  • Organisational, and task/project management abilities.

  • Familiar with collaborating in a global environment.

  • Experience with social listening tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in communications or related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • Min. 5 years of experience in digital / social media, interactive marketing, community /content management, or online gaming; along with experience leading a team of creative individuals.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with direct interactions with a player community.
