We are looking for an experienced Quality Designer II to join the Skate team. You will report to our Quality Verification Senior Development Director.

In this role you will help to define and lead one or more aspects of the Quality Verification Live Strategy. This is an opportunity for you to use your Live knowledge and Quality Assurance experience to ensure that we deliver and maintain a great experience for our players. 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with partners to support the Live Service strategy. This includes defining quality goals, recommending improvements, and upholding standards for excellence in live service delivery.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to Quality Verification team members, promoting best practices within the Live Service environment.

  • Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of quality standards, processes, and best practices. Facilitate knowledge sharing within the team and across departments.

  • Identify and escalate risks related to live service quality, ensuring rapid response to new issues and minimizing impact on the player experience

  • Support the Quality Verification team with the validation and deployment of release candidates to Live on multiple platforms.

  • Integrate data analysis into the Live Service Quality Strategy to guide informed decision-making.

  • Identify and advocate for automation and tooling opportunities to enhance testing processes within the live environment.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of game industry or Quality Assurance experience.

  • Software development cycle experience with a focus on Live service/operations

  • Experience working within a continuous delivery or continuous deployment model.

  • Experience partnering with distributed teams and building relationships with development partners, support teams, and management.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $89,300 - $123,000 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
