Are you passionate about delivering unforgettable gaming experiences? We are looking for a dedicated Senior QA Specialist to join our dynamic team at Plants vs Zombies. Here, you will report to the QA Development Director and help ensure top-notch entertainment for our players worldwide.


Responsibilities:

  • You will build working relationships with senior members of development, production, and design teams to guide a higher quality player experience through feature planning, data analysis, and reviews.

  • You will build cohesive test plans using both manual and automated methods to for product stability to increase software quality and develop the validation strategies within your area of influence.

  • You will be a mentor for peers, assisting with and growing their knowledge.

  • You will report progress and status through regular email or face-to-face communication with appropriate managers and other team members.

  • You will promote best practices across multiple teams and advocate for a "Player First" approach to help us achieve high-quality experience and stability for our players.

  • You will work in partnership with your peers and partners to improve testing/operational processes to improve product efficiency.

  • You will use stability issues capturing, processing and debugging technology to ensure issue accuracy.

  • You will participate in cross-discipline issue evaluation and prioritization efforts to lead issue resolution through impact and likelihood argumentation.


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of applicable work experience.

  • Fluent in English both verbal and written.

  • In-depth knowledge of software/game development, including both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Experience working with different issue stability types. Initiate root cause analysis investigations for each (memory crash/leak, logic/code crash, rendering crash, fatal/non-fatal assert, hang/freeze).

  • Experience working with project crash collection tools and databases (Crashlytics).

  • Experience with Upstream Quality practices, such as: CI/CD, bug prevention and containment tools and strategies.

  • Experience with any of the following test automation environments: Games, Console, Mobile or Web UI, Backend.

  • Defect, Test Case and Task tracking tool experience (JIRA, DevTrack, Test Rail, or Hansoft).
