Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate PC gaming expert to join our Quality Assurance organization as a PC Player Experience Tester. In this role, you’ll help shape how players experience our games on PC—not by running functional tests, but by evaluating the quality and feel of the experience from a player’s perspective.
You’ll collaborate with QA, development, and player insights teams to identify opportunities for improvement across graphics, performance, controls, settings, usability, and platform integration. This is a hands-on role for someone who understands what makes a PC experience truly exceptional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Playtest pre-release builds to assess the overall quality of the PC experience across diverse hardware configurations.
  • Provide qualitative feedback on visuals, performance smoothness, input responsiveness, and overall “feel” of the gameplay.
  • Evaluate and document the usability of PC-specific features such as settings menus, display and graphics options, control schemes, and accessibility features.
  • Identify inconsistencies or barriers in player experience related to platform integrations (e.g., Steam, EA App, Epic Games Store).
  • Compare the PC experience against console or other platform versions to highlight platform parity opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advocate for player-centered improvements.
  • Participate in internal playtests, providing clear and actionable feedback reports.
  • Stay informed on PC hardware trends, input devices, and emerging performance expectations in the gaming community.

Qualifications
 Required:

  • Deep familiarity with PC gaming ecosystems, hardware, and optimization best practices.
  • Strong ability to articulate gameplay experiences both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrated understanding of player expectations for AAA PC titles.
  • Experience in QA, user experience testing, or game usability evaluation.
  • Passion for improving player satisfaction through detailed qualitative analysis.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in qualitative testing, player insights, or community feedback roles.
  • Working knowledge of PC hardware benchmarking or configuration tools.
  • Experience collaborating with design, production, or engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with game telemetry tools or feedback collection systems.

What We’re Looking For
You’re not just a tester—you’re a player advocate. You can spot when something “feels off” and articulate why. You thrive on evaluating player-facing features and helping teams understand how real players will perceive their work.
