Game Ops
Battlefield aims to bring our players classic and new experiences, big or small, on time, at quality, every time, for all our players to enjoy in a safe, respectful, and highly competitive environment. Battlefield Game Ops is the team fueling this journey. Battlefield Game Ops consists of two teams:
Our release team focuses on releasing high quality, bug free software on time and with high availability.
Our positive play team focuses on providing fair and highly competitive experiences, free of cheaters and abusers.
Our players deserve to play when they want, how they want, and with who they want (or don’t want). Battlefield Game Ops focuses on bringing the fun.
Responsibilities
Drive releases using agile project management methodology. Maintaining the release process to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of the game to our players.
Plan and track the actions, tasks, dependencies and risks for the release process, and support and guide the project contributors.
Execute the process of hardening builds and resolving conflicts and issues before they impact the players.
Manage the schedule and milestones for the game development process as it relates to build releases and live service; communicate these and other critical project information to other partner teams and stakeholders.
Refine and report on SLAs and KPIs for the release process and the live service.
Provide insights and feedback to the franchise leadership on the release status and quality.
Organize and manage the knowledge repository for the release process.
Work across different time zones and domains to coordinate the release process.
Qualifications
Experience in program management within live service products, preferably within AAA gaming.
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, such as agile, waterfall, and scrum.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, and ambiguous environment.
Experience with program management tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
