You will be a member of our Sports Analytics team and empower the NHL game team with data-driven insights, tools, and recommendations to make more data informed decisions, driving value for our business and players. This is a hybrid role located in Vancouver, B.C. and will report to the Director of Analytics of NHL and UFC.

Responsibilities:

  • You will collaborate with your team to understand requirements and scope deliverables
  • You will guide the game team in being hypothesis focused, and data driven
  • You will deliver end to end analytics projects and present insights
  • You will develop a suite of dashboards to promote self-service data access
  • You will contribute to the aggregate layer of data to support efficient analysis
  • You will design game telemetry that meets analysis requirements

Qualifications:

  • A degree in a quantitative discipline (Analytics, Data Science, Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics)
  • 3+ years of experience in an analytics role performing quantitative analysis
  • 1+ years of experience independently managing projects and building analysis plans
  • Expertise in SQL and ability to extract data from large data sources
  • Experience in statistical modeling with Python or R (e.g. regression, clustering)
  • Data visualization experience (e.g. Tableau, Power BI)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $89,300 - $123,000 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
