The Sr. Manager - Commercial Strategy & Growth is a pivotal role within our EA SPORTS Publishing organization and reports into the Sr. Director of Global Commercial Management for EA SPORTS. In this role, you'll serve as the commercial voice for our F1, NHL, and UFC franchises. 


This leader plays a critical role in shaping the commercial success of their franchies—from launch to live operations and beyond —by ensuring products resonate with target audiences and perform against business goals. They are instrumental in driving revenue, player engagement, and ensuring successful commercial execution in a highly competitive and dynamic market. Critically, you will represent the voice of players, partners, markets and our distribution channels to provide a valuable commercial perspective to our brand and development teams, both in the studios located in Canada and the United Kingdom and in partnership with regional leads throughout the world.


Responsibilities


Strategic Planning & Market Analysis

  • Lead the development of commercial strategy across franchises, platforms, and markets.

  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, competitor positioning, and platform dynamics to inform business strategy.

  • Identify white space opportunities and recommend monetization models.

Product & Monetization Strategy

  • Partner with product teams to shape monetization design (e.g., pricing, bundling, content cadence).

  • Evaluate the financial viability of new game features, expansion packs, and live services.

  • Define and iterate go-to-market strategies across physical and digital channels.

Cross-functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with marketing, planning, finance, and game development teams to align commercial goals with execution.

  • Influence roadmap decisions with data-backed insights and commercial priorities.

  • Provide thought leadership and scenario modeling for investment and partnership decisions.

 Performance Measurement & Optimization

  • Establish KPIs to monitor commercial performance (e.g., ARPU, LTV, Conversion).

  • Use analytics and business intelligence to surface actionable insights and optimize pricing, bundling, and player acquisition strategies.

  • Continuously improve commercial models through experimentation and A/B testing.

Team & Stakeholder Leadership

  • Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and influence decision-making.

  • Foster a culture of innovation, insight-driven planning, and player-centric thinking


Job Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years of experience in Commercial, Finance, Strategic Planning, Publishing, or Product Management. Experience in sports or video games is preferred.

  • Deep knowledge of performance metrics and how acquisition, engagement, and monetization work together to drive financial success.

  • Proven success in shaping go-to-market strategies, product monetization models, or live service economies.

  • Data-driven mindset with ability to gather and analyze insights from multiple sources

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to create clear narratives around complex commercial topics

  • Experience contributing to projects that improve acquisition and revenue in digital contexts

  • Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence without direct authority

  • Proficiency with tools like Excel, SQL, Tableau, or equivalent analytics platforms.





COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $126,000 - $176,300 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
