Marketing Team exists to tell the story of Electronic Arts and expand the positive power of play. We develop and execute the strategic vision of our products, run world-class multi-channel campaigns, work on creative global engagement across all touchpoints, and ensure our brand is awesome everywhere we show up.

The Marketing Copy Team is looking for a writer and strategist to join a small, tactical group focused on producing high-volume, high-quality copy that works across EA’s best franchises, including The Sims, Battlefield, EA SPORTS FC, Need for Speed, and many more. We blend insights with storytelling and technology to push the boundaries of marketing.

This role will be focused on strategy and execution, working closely with other writers and marketing teams. Part of this role consists of working with partners on briefs and overall strategy, as well as actual copywriting. You’ll work with the Marketing Copy Creative Lead to refine overall copy guidance across channels and set the standard for strategy across EA titles. This role will start with the Battlefield franchise, but has the potential to grow across entertainment and sports titles. We’re looking for someone who has experience with copywriting, content strategy, and project management.

This is a collaborative team, so it’s important to be someone who isn’t afraid to ask questions while focusing on output. You’ll work with multiple partner teams on everything from emails to in-game assets – and there’s nothing like the feeling of seeing your words on an Xbox or PlayStation screen and knowing millions of players will too. You will work both locally and remotely with a team spanning the globe in this role, reporting to the Creative Lead of the Marketing Copy Team.

  • Experience the melding of creativity and technology to help make our team’s production process efficient and partner-friendly

  • Streamline processes, connections, and tools for the Marketing Copy team

  • A deep sense of curiosity and willingness to ask questions and work with a variety of teams and partners throughout the marketing organization and beyond

Required Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience as a marketing copywriter with plenty of examples of short-form copy (emails, ad banners, web copy, etc.)

  • Experience formulating copy strategy and guidance

  • Experience working on brand campaigns from vision to completion,

  • The entertainment industry or video game experience is a huge plus.
