Description & Requirements

We are a global team of creators, storytellers, technologists, experience originators, innovators and so much more. We believe amazing games and experiences start with teams as diverse as the players and communities we serve. At Electronic Arts, the only limit is your imagination.

Finding great talent and supporting our studios to be the best place for people to make an impact is central to our philosophy. This is the principle behind our newly formed Seattle Studio focusing on open-world action-adventure games and pioneering next-generation emergent storytelling. Join us to pursue your passion to build unique, groundbreaking, and inclusive games that empower players to create incredible stories of heroic adventure. Become a foundational part of respectful and diverse team as we are looking for a Senior Environment Outsourcing Lead to join our team.

Reporting to the Senior Environment Director you will help support and supervise creative content provided by our outsource partners. The Senior Environment Outsourcing Lead will provide creative feedback for work submitted and provide technical or logistical support where needed. While the role is primarily supervisory, the individual should be an experienced artist, having worked in AAA game studio pipelines, have a solid art background, and be a clear and concise communicator. You love engaging and guiding a group of talented artists, and delight in helping them to use their artistic and technical abilities to make beautiful gameplay worlds that engage our players to explore.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Creative and Technical leadership to ensure assets have all the information they need when they are delivered to the external teams. Create and maintain clear documentation for processes and communication.
  • Research, develop and recommend vendor construction and pipeline best practices/improvements in the creation of high-quality environment content.
  • Clearly communicating feedback to the outsource partner and ensuring that outsourced assets are delivered efficiently and on time and that the final product meets the desired level of quality.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to outsourcing, including delays, quality issues, and communication challenges. Implement contingency plans to ensure project continuity.
  • If required, making any needed fixes to keep assets consistent and technically game ready as they are handed off from the outsource partner. Ensuring outsourced assets are ingested into the pipeline and engine correctly.
  • Partner with Development Directors in scope management, resource allocation, and schedule planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 6 years' experience as an outsourcing lead, or a similar role within the video game industry.
  • Must be a clear and concise communicator, able to deliver complex creative feedback across external vendor locations.
  • Proven record of managing outsourcing partnerships and delivering successful game development projects.

We encourage you to apply, even if you don't match every qualification listed above. Let us know why this role appeals to you, why you will be great, what unique perspectives you will bring, and which requirements will challenge you to grow.

We love to celebrate our great perks like comprehensive health and benefit packages, tuition reimbursement, 401k with company match, of course, free video games and more!
