Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

Senior Experience Designer, XD

EA SPORTS is one of the most iconic brands in entertainment – connecting hundreds of millions around the world to sports. We believe our future is to build joyful experiences and push the boundaries of our games.

After nearly 30 years of creating genre-defining, interactive football experiences with the world's largest football entertainment platform, EA SPORTS FIFA, we rebranded to EA SPORTS FC. This marks the future of football from EA SPORTS as we strive to take global football experiences to new heights on behalf of football fans everywhere.

WHAT WE DO?

Experience design strives to innovate and create new, authentic experiences that bring joy, inclusivity, and immersion to a global community of fans.

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

You will use your creativity, passion and knowledge of experience design, branding, and modern UI/UX practices to develop leading edge experiences for highly engaged Football Club fans. You will work closely with the experience design team, game design and our partners to create experiences that surprise, delight and inspire millions of players around the world to play.

YOUR ROLE:

  • Own the design of player-facing features end-to-end, from early concept through ship, with a focus on creating moments of clarity, surprise, and delight across FC's UI and interactive surfaces.

  • Design experiences that feel native to football culture and the emotional rhythms of the game, not just functional screens, but immersive touchpoints that pull players deeper in.

  • Push beyond established patterns. Identify where convention is serving players and where it's just inertia, then prototype new interaction models that raise the bar for what FC UI can feel like.

  • Evolve FC's Design System, contributing new components, motion language, and visual patterns that keep the system sharp and expressive.

  • Partner closely with Game Design, Engineering, and Production to ensure design intent survives implementation and that UI decisions are informed by gameplay context, not developed in isolation.

  • Champion craft standards across the XD team, mentor other designers, share what's working, and help build a culture where quality and inventiveness are the baseline.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • 5+ years of experience as an experience designer or similar role.

  • Proficient in Figma, Adobe Suite, and prototyping software.

  • A portfolio that demonstrates command of both form and function, where visual craft and interaction logic aren’t competing but compounding into experiences that feel effortless and intentional

  • Proactive, outcome-oriented, and solution-driven.

  • Empathetic and collaborative team player.

  • Passion for playing games.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with working and implementing designs into game engines like Unreal or proprietary engines.

  • Experience with game design.

  • Interest in immersing yourself into the world of Football.

If this resonates with you and you have something to contribute, please contact us, even if you don't meet all of the criteria above.

*Please include a portfolio link and password if applicable. Also, please be prepared to show recent accomplishments/processes/case studies/projects.
