We are looking for a “full stack” Senior Experience Designer to join us and help continue delivering a long-running and beloved IP to our players, Plants vs. Zombies! This artist will report to the Associate Experience Design Director and work on an upcoming Plants vs. Zombies mobile title. You will bring features and gameplay to life to guide the creation of the best player experiences, bringing the world of Plants vs. Zombies to life. You can design and implement great player experiences for mobile games with an eye for industry trends.
Responsibilities
Build relationships with artists, game designers, development directors, and producers to set design priorities and find balanced solutions for player, business and technical goals.
Implement UI prefabs following established technical standards
Partner with engineers to understand our existing technical frameworks to ensure designs are efficient and achievable without sacrificing quality of experience.
Design and refine concepts, wireframes, and prototypes; set clear experiential goals and use research along with team feedback to reach the best result.
Promote and oversee UX and UI guidelines, design principles and best practices such as heuristic evaluations/usability standards, archetype development, experience journey maps, prototyping and user testing.
Advocate for design excellence, accessibility, and usability.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, interface designer, product designer or similar role
Proficiency in design and collaboration tools such as Miro and Figma
Proficiency with Unity and Git
Proficiency working with and extending existing design systems
A portfolio of shipped products from preproduction to release.
Familiarity with mobile games
Familiarity with the Hybrid Casual/Tower Defense

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. For British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
