The Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Rendering team at our Orlando studio and help shape the future of graphics across EA titles. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with game teams to understand their rendering needs and ensure the Frostbite engine empowers both technical excellence and creative vision.

Reporting to the Manager of Engine Development, you’ll tackle complex challenges in real-time rendering and content creation while contributing to the growth and shared knowledge of a highly experienced team. This is a hybrid role, combining the flexibility of remote work with in-office collaboration.

This is a hybrid remote/in-office role in Orlando, FL.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with game team engineers and the Frostbite rendering team to design, enable, and deliver new rendering features
  • Optimize rendering solutions across multiple platforms, with a focus on CPU, GPU, and memory performance
  • Partner with game teams to understand their technical environments, identifying both opportunities and constraints
  • Stay current with advancements in real-time rendering techniques, hardware architectures, and graphics APIs
  • Improve artist workflows to enhance content quality, iteration speed, and overall production efficiency

 

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of professional experience with C++   
  • 5+ years of experience in real-time rendering or engine development
  • Experience contributing to shipped AAA titles on modern platforms (PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC)
  • Hands-on experience with one or more low-level graphics APIs such as DirectX 12, Vulkan, or Metal
  • Solid understanding of modern CPU and GPU architectures
  • Experience using graphics debugging and profiling tools (e.g., PIX, RenderDoc, Razor)
  • Strong knowledge of memory management and multi-threaded systems, including debugging and optimization
