Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Software Engineer skilled in Python and/or Golang to build and maintain automation, APIs, and services that manage the lifecycle of our infrastructure platforms.

This role sits at the intersection of software development, DevOps, and platform engineering, focusing on automating systems such as Kubernetes/OpenShift, DNS, and access policy management to enable scalable, reliable, and secure operations.

The ideal candidate is a systems-minded software engineer who enjoys designing automation that simplifies complex infrastructure management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs and automation services in Python and/or Go to manage platform operations (e.g., provisioning, configuration, access control, DNS updates).

  • Automate infrastructure lifecycle workflows across Kubernetes required with OpenShift experience preferred.

  • Implement GitOps-based deployments using ArgoCD or similar tools to ensure declarative, reliable automation.

  • Collaborate with Platform, Security, and DevOps teams to define APIs and automation standards for infrastructure services.

  • Ensure the reliability, performance, and observability of automation workflows using metrics, tracing, and logging.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines and the ability to mentor junior engineers on software design patterns.

  • Contribute to architecture design, documentation, and best practices for infrastructure automation.

  • Stay current with emerging tools and practices in automation, Kubernetes, and DevOps ecosystems.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years designing, building and maintaining production software systems in Python and/or Go.

  • Proven experience designing and implementing RESTful or gRPC APIs.

  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes hands-on experience with GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux).

  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker), and Linux-based systems.

  • Experience collaborating in Agile/DevOps environments and working closely with infrastructure and security teams.

  • Solid knowledge of version control (Git), automated testing, and code quality best practices.

  • Experience with software release management and semantic versioning

  • Understanding of distributed systems concepts and failure modes

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to PKI, certificate management, or secrets automation (e.g., cert-manager, HashiCorp Vault).

  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible) or policy-as-code (OPA, Kyverno).

  • Familiarity with DNS automation, RBAC, and access control systems (OIDC, Keycloak, LDAP).

  • Experience with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, EFK/ELK).

  • Experience developing Kubernetes Operators or custom controllers in Go.

  • Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure) or hybrid environment knowledge.

  • Relevant certifications such as CKA, CKAD, or cloud provider credentials.

  • OpenShift experience

Why This Role Matters

This role is central to building the foundation for automated, reliable, and developer-friendly infrastructure management.

You’ll help define how infrastructure services are exposed through APIs, how automation pipelines are implemented, and how developers interact with the platform — all while driving modernization and operational excellence across the organization.
