Join Motive as a Senior Gameplay Designer specializing in Systems and Multiplayer for an exciting new Battlefield project. In this pivotal role, you'll collaborate closely with gameplay leadership to design innovative systems for upcoming game content. As part of a talented team of Gameplay Designers reporting to the Game Director, you'll contribute to shaping the future of one of the industry's most iconic franchises.
Responsibilities:
- Create features and content for Systems, progression and multiplayer modes.
- Write design documents and plan execution on features to support the Creative Director's vision.
- Create understanding and enthusiasm for designs by presenting them, explaining them in different forms, and taking feedback from the team.
- Lead the creation of prototypes to explore and resolve design challenges.
- Implement and polish new features and content using our proprietary tools and visual scripting.
- Utilize qualitative and quantitative data, including playtests and analytics, to refine and enhance designs.
- Offer insightful and constructive feedback to fellow designers.
Qualifications:
- Over 5 years of design experience in the video game industry.
- Significant design contributions on at least two shipped titles.
- Proven ability to write detailed design documents for features or content.
- Hands-on experience with game engines for design implementation.
- Strong knowledge of current trends in action and shooter games, with the ability to apply these insights effectively.
- In-depth understanding of online multiplayer games and their design intricacies.
- A player-focused approach to design.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
