Role Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Tax Associate to join our Hyderabad team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience preparing US federal and state corporate income tax returns, strong analytical skills and a desire to learn.  This role will support both US and US/international tax compliance, as well as tax provision analyses, including FIN48 support. Experience with ASC740 tax provision is a strong plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review US federal and state corporate income tax return workpapers, including analyses, reconciliations and documentation.
  • Prepare interim and year-end workbooks (e.g., M-1s, Sec.174, R&D Credit, FA tax depreciation, etc.).
  • Assist with quarterly and annual estimated tax and tax provision calculations, including initiating purchase orders and coordinating necessary internal approvals for payment processing.
  • Support state apportionment and depreciation adjustment workpapers, and prepare state taxable income calculation.
  • Collaborate with business partners to gather supporting documentation and respond to inquiries.
  • Conduct flux analysis and present findings to stakeholders.  
  • Assist with state audit support, including documentation preparation and analysis.
  • Monitor legislative updates and regulatory guidance for enacted or pending changes impacting tax compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in US corporate and state tax return preparation and compliance.
  • Strong understanding of US federal and state tax concepts, including book/tax differences, state apportionment, and US/International tax including GILTI, FDII, FTC; able to analyze fluxes and reconcile differences.
  • Experience with ASC740 tax provision calculations and reporting is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in tax software (OTP), Excel, and data management tools (PBI, MS List).
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
