The Challenge
As a Senior Technical Artist, you will collaborate closely with content, engineering, and technical art teams to design and implement frontier-leading, AI/ML augmented, high-quality production workflows for EA SPORTS. You will bridge the gap between creativity and technology, helping to develop tools and pipelines that make complex tasks more efficient and empower artists to elevate their craft.
This role requires a blend of technical expertise, artistic sensitivity, and creative problem-solving. You must be enthusiastic to embrace new technologies, prototype and develop augmented and procedural systems, and design intuitive solutions that push the boundaries of content creation.
This team works onsite in Vancouver 3 days a week: Tuesday - Thursday every week.
Responsibilities
Explore, develop, and apply generative AI/ML technologies to accelerate content generation and augment artist capabilities.
Prototype and implement tools that will leverage augmentative approaches to enhance and integrate into complex content creation workflows, reducing repetitive tasks and unlocking new creative possibilities.
Build intuitive UX/UI approaches (leveraging Python/Web) that make advanced tools accessible to non-technical users; connect with creators to gather and action on feedback to iterate on functionality and usability.
Integrate solutions with and through DCC applications (e.g., Maya, Photoshop, Substance) into the Frostbite engine, ensuring seamless asset transfer, manipulation, and scalability.
Partner with engineers, artists, and researchers to prototype and deliver innovative solutions that enhance both technical pipelines and creative processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
8+ years of Python development experience.
Proven experience developing content pipelines for production.
Familiarity with Machine Learning pipelines, Generative AI for content creation, MCP frameworks.
Experience designing and developing UX + UI (Python/Web).
Working knowledge of cloud technologies and web APIs.
Working knowledge of DCC applications such as Maya, Photoshop, and Substance.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
