We are looking for a Senior Technical UI Artist like you to join us in our mission to create amazing games and experiences, and to elevate ourselves and our craft. You will report to our Design Line Director. We are considering on-site and hybrid working options for candidates.
Responsibilities
Implement HUD components, UI widgets, and UI animations to design specifications using visual scripting in Frostbite
Mentor and review the work of other UI scripters, to grow the team around you
Work with production to triage and estimate tasks for other Technical UI implementers in your group
Work with other disciplines to ensure implementation is best in class technically, visually, and for usability
Define, advocate for, and follow best practices
Proactively communicate and collaborate with others across crafts about UI work
Look for opportunities to learn new skills to benefit your growth, your team, and the studio
Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a technically-oriented web, front-end, or UI scripter, implementer, or engineer
1+ years of experience in a leadership role
Expertise in visual scripting, and working with game editors like Frostbite, Unreal, Unity, etc
An eye for visual quality, and a drive to make UI look and feel the best
Understand best practices for UI and UX
At least one shipped game
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
