Our team within Creative Innovation pioneers the use of cloud and machine learning technologies in our toolchains to empower content creators to create compelling games. You will be a senior member of this team, reporting to its Technical Director. This role is hybrid remote/in-office and you will work from either our Vancouver or Montreal offices.

You Will:

  • Develop custom, end-to-end data pipelines specifically for our workflows, automating the flow of creative assets and metadata.

  • Develop systems for onboarding new content sources and asset types (e.g., 3D models, textures, video), and manage the complex metadata schema changes that accompany them.

  • Ensure our cloud-native data platform is robust, responsive, and capable of handling high concurrency and heavy processing loads from creative teams.

  • Write clean, optimized, and well-tested code. Guide the team with practical examples and proactive code reviews to create resilient, secure, and efficient codebases.

  • Improve automated pipelines for seamless testing, quality assurance, and continuous delivery (CI/CD) of our data tools and services.

  • Enhance content creation workflows, including asset versioning, review processes, and inference/enrichment from ML pipelines.

  • Implement emerging technologies to keep our content platform at the cutting edge.

You Bring:

  • 8+ years of experience in tools/workflows creation and maintenance, video game development, or other related industry

  • High proficiency in Python and fullstack development for systems development and automation, along with solid database skills for querying workflow metadata.

  • Experience in VFX, animation, game development, or a related field with exposure to DCC tools and asset management systems.

  • Experience with the modern data stack to warehouse and analyze pipeline metadata.

  • Work with creative and technical teams in an Agile environment with an ability to manage change.

  • An understanding of the challenges of managing digital assets and their metadata.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$138,700 - $199,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
