The EAX team is crucial to creating that connection through products that grow and engage our community of players. Some of our work includes: EA PLAY, our multi-platform subscription for PC, PS5, Xbox and Steam; the EA desktop app, EA’s direct-to-consumer PC games platform; and a host of other consumer experiences and strategies, all with the goal of engaging players across platforms and within our games.

The Site Reliability Engineer will report to a Senior Engineer.

We are considering hybrid working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

  • You will contribute to a suite of tools that increase application performance and reliability

  • You will support product launches and ensure EAX development teams have good observability of their systems

  • You will work directly on a growing Kubernetes-based platform that hosts hundreds of web applications with multiple tenants

  • You will directly support the EA app and other applications

Qualifications:

  • Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: Golang, Ruby, or Python

  • 1+ years of experience using at one of the following monitoring and logging applications: Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, or AWS CloudWatch

  • 1+ years of experience supporting a production environment with active users

  • Developed web-based and backend applications or has functional experience managing a website and infrastructure

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $79,900 - $111,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
