Job Title: Site Reliability Engineer II

Location: Hyderabad

Pogo has been the leader in online casual games since 1998. Featuring a growing library of 60+ titles spanning popular genres like Solitaire, Mahjong, Match 3, and more, Pogo exists to be the best destination for online casual games. We strive to produce high-quality HTML5-powered games with sophisticated metagames and social mechanics, all while working seamlessly across desktop, tablet and mobile. Our fans and subscribers come to Pogo for fresh content, daily challenges, great events, new games, and a live service that delivers! We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer on Pogo engineering to help maintain and work towards continuous improvement of infrastructure for the Pogo platform and games.

Role

In this key role, you will report directly to the Associate Technical Director and have a high level of interaction with Pogo engineering team members, development directors and EA central teams. Pogo Engineering manages the Pogo platform that consists of Progressive WebApp and Java Backend deployed on AWS that supports more than 60 HTML5 games. As part of the engineering team, you will help build, maintain and continuously improve Pogo’s infrastructure for games and platform.

Key Responsibilities (What you will do)

● Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for several projects and work towards continuous improvement.

● Keep Pogo infrastructure up-to-date by applying updates in timely manner

● Implement monitoring and alerting systems for service degradations

● Identify and deploy security measures by performing vulnerability assessments and risk management.

● Encourage and build automated processes whenever possible.

Qualifi cations (What you know how to do)

● Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related fi eld, or equivalent training and professional experience

● 4+ years of experience as a DevOps/Site Reliability engineer

● Profi cient in CI/CD technologies like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Gitlab CI/CD

● Profi cient in cloud platform like AWS

● Expertise in containerization with Docker/Kubernetes and orchestration tools Ansible/ Puppet

● Profi ciency in cloud-based DevOps practices like Terraform

● Experience with shell scripting and knowledge of scripting languages like Ruby, Python

● Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch

● Experience with load testing, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance of web services

● Experience with Scrum/Agile development methodologies

Nice To Have

● Experience in game industry is a plus
