Social Insights Specialist, Advertising & Sponsorships

SUMMARY

The Advertising & Sponsorships Insights Specialist will have the opportunity to shape strategies and business case narratives. Your success in this role will be dependent on your ability to turn complex business questions into actionable opportunities through data analysis, independent research and collaboration with business partners across the EA enterprise. It's an exciting chance to be part of a team building new products, programs and shaping business strategy within a large company. We are looking for someone familiar with social media and influencer data and interested in learning more facets of consumer insights. You will report to the Director of A&S Insights and work in a hybrid capacity. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide social intelligence based on social media data analysis

  • Deliver insights about player sentiment surrounding advertising & sponsorships, quantifying volume of conversation around games

  • Analyze player social media behavior to identify overlaps of game and brand interest

  • Follow engagement trends and provide insights on how to better engage with the game communities

  • Analyzes competitor activity for lessons learned, emerging trends, and innovation

  • Researches and evaluates the latest social media analytics trends

  • Strategically leverage consumer data to enhance and expand brand sponsorship opportunities

  • Identify and collaborate with key stakeholders.

  • Support the Insights and Research project work.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 or more years of experience in social media, marketing media or consumer data analysis roles. 

  • Working knowledge of social media and campaign analytics. 

  • Working knowledge of coding languages such as R, Python and/or Sequel.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a data-driven and analytical mindset.

  • Comfortable with autonomy to build strong relationships with internal business partners, and capable of representing EA with external partners and clients. 

  • Must demonstrate confidence in developing clear and concise insights “stories” and actionable recommendations from research outputs.

  • Exceptional candidates will also have a working knowledge of EA SPORTS titles. 


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$75,900 - $105,600 CAD
* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$83,100 - $127,500 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
