You will work onsite from Bogotá, Colombia (Salitre area).


The Software Engineer role within EA Sports Quality Verification Engineering (QVE) department collaborates with EA's QA and Development teams to create automation related tools, automation solutions, scripts, and technical strategies with the goals of improving game infrastructure, game stability and increasing efficiencies in the game delivery process. 

You will play an important part in ensuring a seamless consumer experience by focusing on upstream quality and targeting defect prevention and containment. Reporting to a Development Director, you will help analyze testing strategies, identify new testing technologies, and develop new tools and automated scripts related testing and verification purposes.


Responsibilities:

  • You will work with Dev and QA partners to identify areas of improvement through enhancing existing automated tools, writing automation scripts and identifying new automated tooling solutions.

  • You will design, develop, and deploy internal software tools and automated scripts.

  • You will build, test, and deploy solutions that support automation deliverables.

  • You will support an increased adoption of automation and tools within game teams.

  • You will aid in the identification and requirements gathering for new tools.

  • You will use basic client/server architecture knowledge to implement scripts that send and receive RPC communications.

  • You will identify and recommend debug and telemetry enhancements to aid testing.

  • You will provide debug support and technical expertise to other engineers on our teams.

  • You will perform risk analysis of new features – identify impact and scope.

  • You will help prioritize bug fixing efforts and identifying areas of test focus.


Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience with C#.

  • Knowledge of C++, and scripting experience with Machine Learning, Python, JavaScript and Angular.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or equivalent

  • Experience with the software development life cycle, software engineering methodologies and practices, and their application to both development and QA.
