Frostbite is EA's proprietary game engine. Its versatile tools and cutting-edge technology power creation on some of the world's most iconic and visually stunning games, including titles from EA SPORTS and Battlefield.
The Live Service team supports the infrastructure and services required by Frostbite's CI, validating hundreds of code changes every day. We set up, troubleshoot, build, and test automation for multiple games and platforms, developing monitoring to keep manual intervention at a minimum. Collaborating with other Frostbite engineers, we make efficient, reliable, and secure development workflows possible.
As a Software Engineer reporting to the Live Service team's Development Manager, you will help us operate and scale our global build farm, comprised of both physical and cloud components.
This role is Hybrid remote/in-office in Burnaby, BC.
Responsibilities:
You will operate and improve Frostbite's CI, working with teammates to keep the automation pipeline fast and reliable across multiple branches and platforms
You will manage and scale up hardware, virtual infrastructure, and services
You will respond to breakages, diagnosing and developing automation tools in complex systems
You will partner with Frostbite engineers to understand and implement requirements, ensuring quick feedback and accurate error messaging
Qualifications:
1+ years of experience providing support to customers and solving technical problems
Experience writing and debugging scripts in Powershell
Experience coding in C# or an equivalent object-oriented programming language
Experience managing pipelines in a CI environment such as Azure DevOps or GitLab
Familiarity working with computer hardware components

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
