The Challenge Ahead
As the gaming industry shifts towards a live service-driven model, creating an engaging Ads experience and connecting relevant brands / advertisers to players is the key to EA's success. The AdTech team within EADP's Dynamic Experience group is on a journey to build industry-leading solutions that empower e2e Ads lifecycle management workflows and performant, scalable and available services.
As a Software Engineer II, you will report to the Director of Engineering and will contribute to the backend services and data infrastructure powering this platform.
Responsibilities:
- You will build scalable backend APIs and services.
- You will build ETL/ELT data pipelines and collaborate with data scientists to build data pipelines for analytics and ML.
- You will design and implement data models/schemas for diverse storage solutions.
- You will contribute to backend and data infrastructure design and architecture.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years backend and data pipeline engineering experience
- Proficiency with Java, Node.js, or Go
- Experience with distributed processing, including Flink and Kafka
- Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB)
- Experience with AWS cloud data and backend services
Bonus:
- Knowledge of programmatic advertising (exchanges, SSPs, DSPs, and RTB)
- Experience with ad serving platforms/APIs
- Knowledge of ML algorithms and libraries
This is a hybrid remote/in-office role.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
