Description & Requirements

Electronic Arts creates next-level entertainment experiences that inspire players and fans around the world. Here, everyone is part of the story. Part of a community that connects across the globe. A place where creativity thrives, new perspectives are invited, and ideas matter. A team where everyone makes play happen.

The EA IT Player and Creator Experience team develops platforms and services that support player-facing experiences at scale. Our systems assist players throughout their support journey, help creators to share content that promotes our games, and help maintain safe online communities. We build low-latency, cloud-native, and AI-enabled applications that enhance Fan Care and Creator Engagement for a global audience.

You will report to the Sr. Manager of Engineering, and contribute as a senior individual contributor, serving as a technical lead across our engineering and product teams. This is a hands-on role. You bring deep, production grade frontend expertise with the full-stack range to be accountable for services end-to-end. You have experience in building and shipping complex, user-facing applications. These are not just applications you contributed to, but rather ones you took full ownership of.

You lead the systems you develop from start to finish, from architecture and implementation through deployment and long-term reliability. You will follow a hybrid work schedule — three days in office and two days work from home per week.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with architects, senior engineers, and product partners to deliver distributed, scalable, and secure platform solutions.

  • Build frontend interfaces using React and develop backend services and APIs using Python and Java.

  • Contribute across the product lifecycle — requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.

  • Write maintainable, well-tested code and help raise engineering best practices through peer code reviews.

  • Improve platform reliability and scalability by troubleshooting production incidents, performing root cause analysis, reducing technical debt, and optimizing system performance.

  • Support CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and developer tooling to improve efficiency.

  • Use modern development tools, including AI-assisted workflows, to enhance productivity and code quality.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

  • 8+ years of full-stack software engineering experience with React, TypeScript, Next.js, NodeJS, Java, Python, and modern web technologies.

  • Experience with distributed systems, microservices-based architectures, and scalable platform architecture.

  • Experience building and integrating REST and microservices-based APIs.

  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and related services.

  • Experience with CI/CD workflows, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure tools (Terraform).

  • Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Experience collaborating across engineering, product, and operations to ship technical solutions.

  • Experience documenting technical decisions and communicating system design details to partners.
