Ripple Effect, an evolution of Battlefield's DICE LA, is a Los Angeles and Vancouver-based game studio on a mission to build community-first experiences through continuous innovation and boundary breaking technology.

We are looking for a Gameplay Software Engineer like you with a passion for building exciting gameplay and technical excellence. You will be challenged to collaborate with a demanding team of designers and gameplay engineers to prototype and build new gameplay systems, then improve and polish them to perfection. There are also opportunities to build gameplay systems that will be reused across multiple EA titles, and to collaborate with world-class engineers across North America and Europe.


Qualifications:

  • BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience 

  • Excellent C++ coder

  • Experience building a variety of gameplay systems

  • Creative prototyping skills

  • Self-driven with a strong sense of quality 

  • Great collaborator with game designers and game engineers

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). PAY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $79,900 - $111,900 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and after 3 months of service - extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
