Software Engineer

Development and Release Engineering (DRE) is the automation oil for the EA game production engine, integrating technical components and dependencies from partner teams to produce playable builds. We partner with Quality Verification, IT, Security, Cloud providers, Engine providers and other teams to simplify CI for game creators.

You will be reporting to a DRE Development Manager and working with your peers to provide excellent services to our partner teams at EA Vancouver.

This role will be Hybrid (3 days a week).

Responsibilities

  • You will work as a technical liaison with development teams to address build issues and improvements

  • You will work with our internal customers on designing, implementing and maintaining automation pipelines in our CI system (Jenkins)

  • You will monitor and analyze automation systems to resolve performance bottlenecks and respond to breakages

  • You will manage virtual infrastructure, including deploying and monitoring VMs/Containers

  • You will maintain the product backlog including tasks and their priorities

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience or education in software development, or related field

  • Proficient in software engineering and debugging principles

  • Experience with designing, implementing and maintaining automation in CI systems (e.g. Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g. Groovy, Python, PowerShell, Batch, Bash)

  • Experience with source-control systems (e.g. Perforce, Git)
