This role requires you to work onsite from Bogotá, Colombia (Salitre area).

Quality Verification and Standards (QVS) Engineering at EA ensures game excellence, providing insights into game readiness and player experience through advanced software solutions. We're developing an internal platform (QTP) to enhance tool delivery for QVS engineering teams.

The group of teams responsible for QTP are looking for an Engineering Manager to be responsible for health, growth, and effectiveness of the teams while focusing on enhancing the developer experience. You will obsess over people management, team culture, and the optimization of development processes through productivity metrics. Reporting to the QTP product owner you will partner with QTP team leaders to meet organizational goals while promoting a collaborative, inclusive, and safe environment.


Responsibilities:

  • You will oversee the health and growth of a team of 8 engineers across two teams in the development of the Quality Technology Platform.

  • You will develop talent through coaching, mentoring, feedback and hands-on career development.

  • You will advocate for engineering excellence, best practices, tooling, and automation.

  • You will capture and analyze our team metrics to improve our development processes.

  • You will attract and retain top talent, ensuring we are a diverse and inclusive team.

  • You will build a psychologically safe environment where we feel valued.

  • You will ensure we have the processes, and environment needed for efficiency.

  • You will inspire us to achieve our best work while balancing growth.

  • You will represent us in organizational discussions and advocate for our needs.


Qualifications / Skills:

  • 8+ years in software engineering related roles

  • 3+ years as a hands-on software engineer

  • 4+ years managing software engineers, with at least 2 years managing teams of 5 or more.

  • You are passionate about developer productivity and data-driven decision-making

  • Familiarity with Cloud Service Providers, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps and engineering best practices.

  • Understanding of system design, scalability, performance, and security.
