As a Software Quality Lead, your efforts will facilitate the delivery of a comprehensive software quality strategy that focuses on utilizing automation & technology to deliver comprehensive test coverage and issue detection solutions.  You will collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple disciplines to align on priorities, discuss opportunities and address risks.  You will be responsible for keeping aware of industry trends and constantly looking to drive initiatives to enhance the way we work. You will report to the Principal Quality Designer.  

Responsibilities

  • You will drive relationship management with key stakeholders

  • You will collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives

  • You will conduct regular team meetings to track progress and address any issues

  • You will develop a comprehensive strategy focused on increasing test quality and effectiveness

  • You will be a primary contributor to the creation of an Automation plan  focused on reducing the need for traditional manual testing

  • You will drive reporting and addressing of issues related to title stability & performance

  • You will track and report on progress towards goals and commitments

  • You will lead and mentor members of the software quality team

  • You will identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices

  • You will keep appraised of industry trends and incorporate new technologies/solutions


Qualifications

  • 7+ years' of experience using test tools, testing methodology, and QA processes.

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role

  • Experience creating and executing on high level strategies

  • Experience using development tools to enhance white and gray-box testing strategies.

  • Experience working within a collaborative team environment across many locations and time zones

  • An understanding of software development, interdisciplinary dependencies and associated development risks


Desirable:


  • Experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, DevTest, TestRail, Perforce, or Git

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools like Power Bi or Tableau

  • Experience with game engine editors like Frostbite, Unreal Engine, or Unity

  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).

  • Programming, scripting, or database experience (e.g., C#, Python, JavaScript, T-SQL, MySQL)

  • Experience with test automation and telemetry systems.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento) * $122,400 - $176,300 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
