The Finance organization at EA is evolving to become more strategic, insight-driven, and tech-enabled. As part of our multi-year transformation, we are investing in modern platforms, scalable automation, and digital tools that empower our teams and improve how we work. We are looking for a leader to help simplify complex finance systems and data landscapes into clear Finance Technology capabilities that allow transformation at scale. Operate finance technology as a product business and be an integrator of financial systems. Implement process improvements that lead to automation and accelerated decision-making. Executive storytelling for Finance & Technology leadership; turn platform, data, and AI outcomes into clear business narratives. Reporting to the VP, Finance Transformation, you will be responsible for:

  • Finance Technology Platform

  • Data & Insights integration and reporting

  • Finance AI Strategy

Workplace guidance: Onsite at EA location minimum three days a week. Locations include EA regional offices.

Responsibilities & Outcomes

Finance Technology & Platform Leadership

  • You will lead the design, enhancement, and integration of core finance systems and tools in partnership with CTO and partners.

  • You will advocate for simplifying financed systems and create automations that allow real-time decision-making.

  • You will improve user adoption across finance and the enterprise on employee facing finance systems.

Finance Technology & AI Strategy

  • Lead the product vision and roadmap—prioritize IBP-critical finance data, curate the enterprise catalog and standards, and steers backlog, budget, and OKRs while engineering teams build and run.

  • Develop AI-driven scenario planning with finance data and insights team members

  • Integrate AI automation, advanced analytics and systems modernization across the Finance team.

  • Develop strategy plan for integration and modernization of current finance systems.

  • Promote the development and scaling of AI-powered and automation-first solutions that reduce manual effort and improve efficiency across finance processes (e.g., forecasting, close and reporting).

Data & Insights Integration and reporting

  • Lead data, system enhancements, and AI-powered scenario planning

  • Develop requirements and understand impacts across global finance to create integration tools, dashboards and insights for finance leaders and business operations teams.

Team & People Management

  • Lead team of finance technical experts that support data and insights, solutions architecture, platform support for finance systems. Resources are located globally (North America and Hyderabad).

Collaboration & Governance partnership

  • Operate Finance Technology as a product business with a multi-horizon roadmap, clear milestones, and value metrics, delivering measurable benefits while managing capacity, risks, and ensuring business continuity.

  • Be the strategic connector between Finance, CTO, HR, and EA-wide digital transformation functions.

  • Establish governance to prioritize work, measure return on investment, and maintain agreement on EA's technology architecture and security principles.

  • Partner with CTO business applications team to ensure delivery excellence across internal and external partners.

Required Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in finance systems, digital transformation, or enterprise platforms, with understanding of Finance operations.

  • Experience leading technology projects across complex organizations.

  • Experience with cloud ERP, EPM, BI, and AI platforms (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Anaplan, Power BI, Python/ML/GenAI frameworks).

  • Experience managing teams

  • Experience writing complex macros for Excel

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. San Francisco) *$210,600 - $320,000 USD

In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
