As a Senior Manager, Platform Engineering, you will lead a Platform Engineering team responsible for the platforms, services, and engineering practices that enable game development across EA. Reporting to a Director, you will oversee a diverse team of DevOps Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers who build and operate critical developer infrastructure used by teams across EA.

Your organization will own the reliability, scalability, security, and lifecycle management of enterprise development platforms, including source control, work management, CI/CD, artifact management, and other cloud-hosted services. In parallel, your team will build reusable platform capabilities, automation, and infrastructure solutions that accelerate software delivery and improve developer productivity.

You will partner closely with engineering, product, security, infrastructure, and game teams to define platform strategy, improve operational excellence, and deliver services that support thousands of developers worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of DevOps Engineers and Site Reliability Engineers, providing coaching, career development, performance management, and organizational leadership.

  • Define and execute the strategy for developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, automation, and operational excellence across the organization.

  • Oversee the operation and continuous improvement of enterprise development services and tooling.

  • Drive adoption of DevOps, Platform Engineering, and SRE best practices, including Infrastructure as Code, observability, incident management, service ownership, and reliability engineering.

  • Partner with stakeholders across EA to understand customer needs, prioritize investments, and deliver solutions that improve developer productivity and business outcomes.

  • Establish and monitor service health objectives, operational metrics, and performance indicators to ensure platform reliability, scalability, and security.

  • Manage resource planning, prioritization, and execution across both operational responsibilities and strategic initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, collaboration, and customer focus.


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or related disciplines.

  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams, including hiring, coaching, performance management, and organizational development.

  • Experience operating and scaling cloud-based platforms and services using AWS, Azure, GCP, or similar cloud providers.

  • Strong understanding of DevOps, SRE, cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, observability, automation, and modern operational practices.

  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale development platforms and services used by large engineering organizations.

  • Experience managing teams responsible for both operational services and strategic platform initiatives, including prioritization of reliability, customer needs, and engineering investments.

  • Experience partnering with multiple engineering organizations and stakeholders to prioritize platform investments, manage competing demands, and deliver shared services at scale.
