FRANCHISE STRATEGY & MANAGEMENT AT ELECTRONIC ARTS:

The Sr. Manager of Franchise Strategy & Management for Madden NFL plays a crucial role in partnering with product, marketing, and commercial teams to execute a comprehensive franchise business plan. We ask that you have both business and creativity to connect different inputs and translate them into actionable strategies. You can define opportunities for consumer engagement and growth through target audiences, player/fan motivations, and trends. Then deliver a unified strategy in collaboration with accountable teams to make interconnected strategic decisions that delight our players. 

OVERVIEW:

You will oversee “the entire field” and connect long-term strategy to go-to-market activity. Reporting to the Director of Franchise Strategy & Management: Madden NFL + College Football, the Sr. Manager will help develop and execute strategies aimed at expanding Madden NFL’s market share and enhancing consumer engagement. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish annual Madden NFL plans that are aligned to the Franchise’s long-term strategy inclusive of target audience motivations and definitions, market insights, performance insights, sport trends and player analytics.

  • In partnership with Studio, Commercial, and Finance teams, translate business outcomes to Publishing OKRs that enable go-to-market strategies and execution.

  • Lead teams (direct and indirect) to pull strategy through to business execution across channels and categories.

  • Conduct cross-functional meetings that establish foundational business insights to enable go-to-market planning and execution.

  • Support the development team in creating player-centric product features.

  • Partner with the Consumer Insights team to conduct research for audience and growth opportunities.

  • Evaluate and develop business cases for franchise expansion into new consumer experiences.

  • Guide the Madden NFL annual strategic planning process with accountability for increased levels of effectiveness, cohort planning and ongoing optimization

  • Establish data-informed goals with commercial, marketing, communications, and analytics teams.

  • Analyze broad ranges of market data, including sales and in-game data and competitive analysis to inform opportunities and challenges, then create strategies and tactics to achieve results to improve our in and out of game experiences, our marketing funnel and our commercial health

  • Build plans with licensors and partners to unlock joint value.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 7+ years Strategy/Brand Management/Business Growth role

  • Experience partnering with a product development team to make insight informed decisions that satisfy prioritized consumer motivations.

  • Excel at working in a matrixed team environment characterized by collaboration

  • Galvanize and influence teams and partners across departments, at all levels

  • Understanding of evolving consumer engagement and channel opportunities

  • Create and write business briefs for strategic planning.

  • Inspire teams.

  • Experience building presentations to inform and persuade partners.

  • Understanding of consumer marketing best practices and digital business revenue opportunities.

  • Strong financial analysis skills and business acumen.

  • Knowledge of the sports, gaming, or entertainment field.

  • Interest in American Football and EA SPORTS
