We are looking for a Technical Director to create and lead the execution of Software Quality and Technology Quality strategies across our diverse studios. You will report to the Senior Director of Engineering overseeing EA Sports FC and be part of a dynamic team of leaders driving an important strategic pillar for EA.

You will support a dynamic team focused on ensuring that the quality of our titles exceeds our players’ expectations. Our team are integrated partners in the product development organizations, ensuring we meet the highest standards of quality across every experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead the establishment and execution of Software Quality and Technology strategies across multiple franchises, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards are met by all teams.
- Be a thought leader and partner with technical leadership teams in the definition and evangelization of Upstream Quality practices, focusing on defect prevention mechanisms and early test automation adoption.
- Champion a culture of excellence and continuous improvement by highlighting inefficiencies and leading programs to enhance processes and outputs.
- Harmonize engineering and testing disciplines in the software quality domain by establishing an effective organizational structure along with planning, communication, and reporting mechanisms.
- Lead the establishment and ensure the delivery of objectives across multiple disciplines (QA, QE, analytics) with a focus on value for our franchises and EA.
- Be accountable for the identification, analysis, and resolution of risks within the Software Quality & Technology domains.
- Partner with other leaders globally to drive forward Software Quality practices and improvements.

Qualifications
- 10+ years of proven experience leading execution and delivery of complex software engineering projects in the digital entertainment space.
- Experience driving software quality development practices and a passion for software quality and development best practices.
- Have led global organizations and driven success through other leaders.
- Proven expertise in directing project execution with geographically distributed teams, adeptly navigating varied time zones and cultural dynamics.
- Strong influencing skills and proven record as a change agent.
- Excel at being autonomous in synergy with the team's leadership mindset and expectations.
- Experience or interest in Machine Learning/AI applications in software quality.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $160,200 - $229,100 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
