We’re looking for you to help shape the technical foundation for an exciting American Football project, as well as to provide leadership and oversight to a talented and growing team of game developers.

*This position will require a hybrid onsite presence*

Reporting to the Franchise Technical Director, you will:

  • Work with studio leadership to define and execute strategic goals and milestones, establish best practices, and promote the core development values of the engineering team.
  • Work with production staff, directors, and other leads to establish engineering tasks and manage schedule requirements.
  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance for engineers.
  • Guide and grow engineering team-leads into successful people managers.
  • Review completed engineering tasks in collaboration with the Studio Director, the production staff, and other leads.
  • Collaborate to ensure that technology interests and policies are represented and maintained through the course of development, and that future technology is being developed on schedule.
  • Perform research to acquire new knowledge necessary to perform assigned tasks and maintain the technological evolution of the project.
  • Maintain familiarity with Tiburon and EA's current game designs and with new technologies across the game industry in multiple genres.

You have:

  • 15+ years of gameplay software engineering experience.  
  • Shipped multiplayer AAA titles on multiple generations of hardware platforms. 
  • Experience working on large-scale live services titles. 
  • 10+ years of leadership & people management experience.  
  • Experience with large code base, gameplay mechanics, networking, and optimization. 
  • Advanced C/C++ skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
