Reporting to the Data Science Manager, we are looking for a Data passionate Technical Program Manager to help us define and implement the Data Governance Strategy within EA SPORTS FC. We are a team of multidisciplinary data professionals. The ideal candidate is a champion in communicating with stakeholders, facilitating cross team / functional collaborations, and speaks to the importance of telemetry design and quality.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the development of strategic Data Governance plans, goals, and objectives along with other Data and Product leaders in the group.
  • Develop, lead, and manage cross team / functional projects involving Data Professionals, Software Engineers, Product Managers, and Project Managers. Keeping the stakeholders updated on the progress of projects, addressing their concerns, seeking and implementing their feedback.
  • Develop, enforce, and document data governance policies, standards, and procedures to ensure data quality, security, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead or participate in data governance committees or councils, facilitating meetings, discussions, and decision-making processes related to data governance.
  • Evangelize the capabilities of the Data Platform and the value it can bring to different types of customers.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork and shared goals, creating a collaborative team environment and driving the right level of process to ensure efficiency and high quality delivery within the team.

Your Qualifications 

  • BSc/MSc in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a technical program management role.
  • 2+ years of experience with big data technologies, telemetry design, ETL development, and BI solutions.
  • Preferred 1+ years of experience in the Data Governance, Data Quality, or Data Management programs with proven experience in developing and implementing successful data governance frameworks.
  • Preferred 1+ years of experience with Data Catalogs such as Alation.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. If you reside in a different location, a recruiter will advise on the applicable range and benefits. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs). BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria)
    • $107,600 - $147,100 CAD

In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
