Summary

EA’s XO Creative Studio is looking for a Training Specialist to join our External Development (ExDev) team. This role is responsible for enabling our global network of marketing vendors to successfully execute against EA’s gameplay capture and cinematic production workflows.

As a workflow expert, you will design and deliver training programs that onboard external partners across gameplay capture, in-engine cinematic shot creation, and still image production. You will work closely with Craft Capture, Craft Cinematics, and ExDev Technical Artists to translate internal pipelines into scalable, vendor-ready systems.

This is a hands-on, individual contributor role suited for someone who combines training expertise, technical fluency, and creative production awareness with the ability to operate autonomously and drive clarity across complex workflows.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead onboarding of external vendors, ensuring they are production-ready within a 2–4 week timeframe.

  • Deliver live, remote, and/or onsite training sessions to global partners across multiple time zones.

  • Design and maintain scalable training systems for gameplay capture, in-engine cinematic shot creation, and still image production.

  • Develop structured training materials including documentation, video tutorials, and workflow guides.

  • Translate complex internal pipelines into clear, accessible training content for external partners.

  • Provide hands-on workflow support and troubleshoot technical challenges during vendor ramp-up.

  • Support vendors using tools such as Frostbite (FrostEd), Perforce, ShotGrid, and Frame.io.

  • Ensure vendor alignment with established workflows for directed gameplay capture, scripted capture, and cinematic production.

  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, Capture Leads, and Technical Artists to align training with creative and production goals.

  • Contribute to the evolution of external development workflows and continuously improve training programs based on feedback and production needs.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in training, enablement, or instructional design within game development, VFX, or creative production environments.

  • Strong technical understanding of real-time production pipelines and content creation workflows.

  • Working knowledge of gameplay capture and/or in-engine cinematic production processes.

  • Familiarity with tools such as Unreal Engine, Frostbite, ShotGrid, Perforce, Frame.io, or similar production systems.

  • Understanding of core animation, lighting, and composition principles within real-time rendering environments.

  • Ability to translate complex technical workflows into clear, structured, and scalable training content.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to engage both technical and creative stakeholders.

  • High level of organization, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple onboarding efforts simultaneously.

  • Ability to travel as needed to support onsite vendor training and deployment.

  • Hands-on experience in gameplay capture, cinematics, animation, or VFX production is a plus.

  • Familiarity with AI-assisted creative workflows and emerging content creation tools is a plus.

  • Experience working with external vendors or agencies is a plus.

  • Background in AAA game marketing, trailer production, or real-time content pipelines is a plus.
