You will be responsible for bringing characters and beautifully crafted worlds to life! You will work very closely with the Art Director, Senior Art Leads, Game Designers and other members of the game cross functional teams where both your creativity and technical skills will help shape and improve our games.

UI Artist Roles & Responsibilities:

As a UI Artist Intern You will be part of the game development team, helping create visually engaging and intuitive user interfaces. Working closely with designers, artists, and engineers, you’ll bring UI concepts to life and ensure they enhance the overall player experience.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with brand and art directors to understand the game’s visual identity, art direction, and brand guidelines.
  • Translate high-level gameplay ideas into functional UI designs by following design documentation.
  • Work closely with UX designers to visually communicate user flows and interaction paths.
  • Design and produce interface assets such as menus, HUDs, icons, buttons, maps, animations, and wireframes.
  • Balance artistic creativity with technical constraints to achieve seamless integration.
  • Implement UI assets in-engine using proprietary tools, in collaboration with programmers.
  • Iterate on designs based on team feedback, debugging and optimizing as needed.
  • Document workflows, share best practices, and support knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Collaborate with the localization team to adapt UI elements for multiple languages.
  • Stay current with UI/UX trends in gaming and apply them to elevate player experience.

 

Must Have

  1. A strong sense of visual design with attention to detail and usability.
  2. Basic knowledge of design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma, or similar).
  3. Passion for games and an understanding of how UI enhances player experience.
  4. Good communication and collaboration skills.

 

Good to Have

  1. Familiarity with game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal, or other tools).
  2. Motion graphics or prototyping skills to demonstrate UI interactions.
  3. Understanding of UX principles and player behavior.
  4. Ability to work with version control or collaboration tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
