Creative Innovation - Tools and Technology

Creative Innovation is one of several organizations within EA Studios that provides solutions to deliver games to millions of players worldwide. With touchpoints across all titles and platforms, we work collaboratively to deliver a direct impact on our players worldwide. 

The Tools and Technology Team within Creative Innovation is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. Our group strives to build an ecosystem of modular components that are efficient, adjustable to trends, and allow for quick iteration of any artistic idea into reality. We partner with a global group of extraordinary creatives fueled by imagination and a unified passion for creating amazing content and experiences.

You will work with our Senior Experience Designer to provide innovative solutions for content creation and acquisition that allow Electronic Arts to lead the industry in content quality, efficiency, and iteration time. 


You will focus on user research, supported by our Senior Experience Designer and Senior Product Manager. We expect you to be involved in discovery and feedback sessions with developers on game teams across EA about tools built by our team that are actively in use across the company, helping support further development.


Responsibilities

  • You will assist with user research and help gather feedback into user-centered design goals.

  • You will contribute to interview preparation by assisting in drafting discussion guides, refining research questions, and organizing materials to align with research goals.

  • You will support with discovery sessions with internal stakeholders to uncover actionable insights

  • You will analyze and integrate user feedback and research findings.

  • You will produce experience and user journey maps, wireframes, and low/high-fidelity prototypes to communicate design intent while maintaining user-centered design principles at the forefront.


Qualifications

  • A portfolio or project showing user-centered designs across digital products, demonstrating how you used research and data to inform your designs.

  • Experience in Figma and using Agile methodology

  • Knowledge of user-centered design thinking and interest in applying AI to User Research and Design.

  • An understanding and some experience of user research methodologies and user data analysis.


Nice to have

  • Currently enrolled/Past experience in a degree program in Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Design, or a related field.


You must be available for a full-time paid internship in the summer of 2026.

At this time, we are considering Undergrad students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2026, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2026. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 16-week internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS 

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the hourly pay ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, degree type (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD), what stage you are in your degree journey (i.e. freshman, sophomore, etc.), qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. 

PAY RANGES

* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) *$60,000 - $65,000 CAD

The hourly pay is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including 80 hours per year of sick time (prorated based on scheduled hours per week if less than full-time), 16 paid company holidays per year, medical insurance, and 401(k).
