EA Create

EA Create is a collective of content production teams partnering with EA Studios game teams to bring outstanding visuals, audio and technology to life. Our teams consist of artists, engineers, technicians, designers and development directors. Worldwide, we combine our teams to form a global group of extraordinary individuals fueled by imagination and a unified passion for creating amazing visuals, sound and experiences. VFX

Destruction, fires, smoke, clouds: just part of your everyday on the EA Create VFX team. We’re experienced in many engines and creation tools and even practical ways to create the desired effect. Join us as we inspire the world to play.

Responsibilities

  • Create industry-leading and stunning visual effects for our games, cinematic moments
  • Partner closely with Art, Design and Animation to understand requirements and ensure VFX match the quality bar and vision for the game.
  • You will implement, polish, and refine your work based on feedback, concept and direction and communicate the best process and technique to the VFX team.
  • Create FX assets using EA's proprietary game engine, according to the agreed design and within the constraints of the target hardware and software. 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years' experience as a real-time FX artist in the industry
  • Strong understanding of real-time VFX pipeline
  • Experience in Game Engine (Unreal Engine, Unity or Proprietary)
  • Proficient in crafting high quality, optimized VFX assets for environments, characters, vehicles, gameplay and cinematics in games
  • Proficient in using Houdini, Maya, EmberGen for 3D authoring and fluid sim to generate source textures and models
  • Strong knowledge of level effects, lighting, color, form and timing
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work well in a team and communicate with other disciplines

 

Additional skills and experience (nice to have):

  • Experience shipping high quality console games
  • Proficiency in English
  • Visual effects pipeline build experience
  • Programming or scripting experience (HLSL, Python, ..etc)
