We are seeking a passionate and creative UI Artist Intern to join our Experience Design (XD) team and help create engaging and intuitive user interfaces for our upcoming video game projects. Working under the UI Art Lead and the other UI Artists, you will contribute to bring the game’s vision to life through the design of user interface elements. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience of game development in the video game industry.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in designing UI elements for menus, HUDs including icons, buttons, and other interactive components.
  • Create high-quality art assets that match the overall aesthetic and style of the game.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure the seamless integration of UI elements into the game engine.


Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a degree in a related field
  • Proficient in design software such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Basic understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to create pixel-perfect UI elements
  • Familiarity with game engines (Unreal Engine) is a plus, but not required
  • A portfolio showcasing your design work relevant to the role: 
    • Samples of 2D icon work
    • Simple photoshop compositing
    • Work that shows knowledge of color, composition, and layout
  • Good communication skills and openness to receiving feedback


We are only considering students who will be enrolled in an accredited degree program in the summer of 2025, slated to graduate no earlier than December 2025. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a full-time basis during the 4-month internship. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
